Happy Chinese New Year!
We recently had the privilege of Celebrating Chinese New Year at Brookside Elementary School during our art and music classes by creating Window Flowers and Dragon Dancing!
What’s Coming Up
All 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are invited to participate in the Brookside Elementary Talent Show on May 16th. Auditions for your student's skit, musical act, dance, or variety performance will be held during music classes on the week of May 1st.

The Patriotic Concert has been changed to May12! The performance is at 1:15 and all parents and family members are welcome to attend. The following classes will be performing a concert featuring familiar patriotic songs on May 12th: Polk, Coleman, Burton, and Gatliff.

Jessamine Creative Arts League Classes for Kids. These classes will be held at the Polvino Family Art Center in downtown Nicholasville starting on January 29th from 1:00 - 2:30. Contact Mrs. Soch for more information!
Brookside Christmas Program
Thank you to everyone who helped to make the Brookside Christmas Program a success! Second and third grade students worked extremely hard to put this program together and we couldn't be more proud!
Kentucky Creative Arts League
This Christmas season, both the Art and Music departments were lucky to be invited to showcase student work with the Kentucky Creative Arts League. A small group of music students were selected to sing in the Creative Arts League Old Time Radio Show. Congratulations to Ella Harilson, Abby Turner, Gabbi Darnell, Sydney Cummins, Emma Woolwine, Jordan Poe, and Aubrey Henderson on great performances! Artwork created by Brookside students was also featured in the lobby of the of the Polvino Family Art Center. Jessamine County All-District Choir
Congratulations to the students who were chosen to perform with the Jessamine County All-District Choir at the IAIE Conference held in Jessamine County this year!
